Nursing Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team at Wexford Health Sources, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for structuring, planning, and implementing the Nursing Services Program, ensuring the delivery of high-quality healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for healthcare activities in compliance with contractual requirements, client, and national standards.
- Coordinate and monitor orientation, in-services, and continuing education within Nursing Services.
- Develop and evaluate patient care according to quality care standards.
- Participate in and chair the Utilization Review Committee, Quality Assurance Committee, and Infection Control Committee.
- Conduct regular meetings with nursing staff and ensure the practice of nursing is consistent with current standards.
- Act as administrator on call for nursing emergencies or nursing staff needs.
- Develop and maintain staff schedules for Nursing Services in accordance with contract terms of nursing coverage.
Requirements:
- Current New Mexico Registered Nursing License.
- Current CPR Certification.
- Graduate of nursing school required; BSN preferred.
- 3 years of experience in a supervisory/leadership nursing role preferred; 2 years of administrative and/or correctional nursing experience can be substituted for BSN.
