Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Wexford Health Sources, Inc. in Central New Mexico Correctional in Los Lunas, NM. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Key Responsibilities- Under the clinical supervision of the Director of Nursing, you will assess physical, psychological, and psychosocial dimensions of patients and develop individualized care plans.
- You will direct and guide patient teaching activities and ancillary personnel, while maintaining standards of professional nursing.
- Utilizing electronic medical record systems, you will review and monitor all offenders receiving medications, as assigned, and maintain accurate charts and records.
- You will apply knowledge of illnesses, injuries, and diseases to obtain a comprehensive health history and assess patients.
- As a leader, you will provide guidance to RNs, LPNs, MAs, CNAs, and other nursing paraprofessionals in patient care related to medical aspects.

- Current, valid New Mexico Registered Nursing License
- Current CPR Certification
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing; Associate's Degree required, Bachelors' Degree preferred
- Minimum one (1) year of clinical experience; correctional nursing experience a plus
