- Feedback Evaluation: Systematically collect and evaluate community and partnership feedback to refine strategies, ensuring maximum positive impact.
- Experience: Proven experience in program administration, event planning, and inclusive community engagement, ideally within the nonprofit sector, with a strong focus on advocacy and systems change.
- Community Engagement Knowledge: Demonstrated experience working with communities of color, immigrant and refugee communities, LGBTQIA+ communities, and/or low-income communities, with a deep understanding of inclusive community engagement practices.
- Commitment to Mission: Genuine passion for the nonprofit sector and alignment with our mission and values, with a strong commitment to equity and learning.
- Relationship Building: Proven experience in building and maintaining strong relationships with community members, particularly those from historically excluded groups, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Bilingual Fluency: Fluency in both English and Spanish to effectively engage with diverse community demographics.
- Communication Fluency: Practiced communication skills, articulating complex ideas, fostering meaningful connections, and engaging diverse audiences to drive impactful community engagement initiatives.
- Project Management: Skilled in planning and overseeing projects, handling resources, risks, and communicating well with teams and partners for successful project completion.
- Collaboration and Freedom: Demonstrated knowledge of how to work effectively within a team environment, collaborating with colleagues and community partners to achieve shared goals, with the ability to work alone and make judgments in ambiguous situations.
- Technology Proficiency: Experience in leveraging communication tools to drive impactful and inclusive community engagement strategies within the nonprofit sector, with knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
