Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Family Development Specialist to join our team at Catholic Charities and Community Services. As a key member of our team, you will provide a range of counseling, education, and supportive services to OB/GYN patients, expectant women, fathers, and their families at our clinics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply appropriate techniques and standards in program development and service delivery.
  • Implement program objectives and performance standards as directed by supervisor/management.
  • Perform comprehensive psycho-social assessments of adults, children, and families through interviewing, record review, and other appropriate methods.
  • Determine the necessary level of intervention by evaluating client data.
  • Develop, implement, and modify treatment/service plans with individuals, families, and ancillary service providers.
  • Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and supportive services to assist clients in reaching treatment goals.
  • Monitor and assess client progress towards identified goals.
  • Initiate collaborative working relationships with other community-based organizations and parishes for reasons of advocacy, education, resource development, and public relations.
  • Plan curriculum and facilitate support/educational groups for adults, children, and families.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated advanced social casework/counseling skills in complex and specialized cases.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in trauma-informed counseling with adults and families.
Education and Experience

A Master's degree (MSW/MA/MS) in Social Work, Counseling, Sociology, Psychology, Child Development, or a closely related human service field from an accredited college or university is required. 2-3 years post-graduate experience is preferred, and Spanish-speaking ability is a plus.

Benefits
  • Salary: $58,000 - $63,000/year, Full-Time, Monday - Friday.
