Job Opportunity

Radiology Associates of Daytona is seeking a skilled Interventional Radiologic Nurse to join our team in a fast-paced outpatient imaging center. As a key member of our team, you will provide safe, quality patient care in the pre-op, recovery, and procedure suite.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess patient status on admission to the pre-op area, the procedure suite, and/or the recovery area, and on a continuing basis.
  • Provide safe, therapeutic quality care to patients by utilizing the nursing process and nursing diagnosis in a timely manner and by setting appropriate priorities.
  • Coordinate nursing interventions to enhance achievement of expected outcomes and to ensure readiness for discharge.
  • Document interventions and patient's responses in the EMR.
  • Safely carry out physician's orders correctly and promptly, documenting all activities.
  • Maintain competencies in conscious sedation administration and monitoring of sedated patients, including airway protection, assessment, and support of sedated patients.
  • Protect sedated patients by identifying safety hazards such as electrical, equipment, pressure points, and by minimizing exposure to maintain privacy and body temperature.
  • Expertise in safety principles, asepsis, sterile technique, and universal precautions.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, prioritizing work to meet the changing needs of the facility.

Requirements:

  • Licensed in the State of Florida.
  • CPR Certification.
  • ACLS & PALS preferred.
  • Two years' experience in pre/post-op (preferably in OBL, ASC, or hospital setting).
