  • Experience in inventory management, particularly with LIFO inventory accounting.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in accounting is strongly preferred.
  • Capability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Preferred experience in the metal and mining sector.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with banks, CPA firms, and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee inventory management and control, including monthly closeouts and physical inventory tracking.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoicing and weekly aging reports.
  • Conduct month-end closing activities, including journal entries, debits/credits, and financial reporting.
  • Prepare quarterly financial reports for banking institutions and manage bank reconciliations.
  • Ensure proper coverage of property and casualty insurance.
  • Supervise front office personnel, providing guidance and support as necessary.
  • Authorize company checks and manage banking relationships.
  • Occasionally make collections calls and oversee payroll for both office and operational staff.
  • Administer pension funds and manage 5500 filings.
  • Collaborate with external CPA firms for various financial tasks.
