The Medical Center Representative is a vital member of the Premier Health team, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our business office. As a Medical Center Representative, you will be the first point of contact for patients, handling a high volume of sensitive medical, financial, and personal information on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately and efficiently process patient arrivals and departures, handling up to 20 patients per day.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to incoming calls and addressing patient concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Process patient registration, billing, and collection functions, ensuring accurate and timely completion of tasks.
  • Assist with daily scheduling, maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with patients and staff.
  • Work collaboratively with the Practice Manager and other team members to achieve business objectives.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two to three years of experience in an ambulatory healthcare facility preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and a thorough understanding of HIPAA law.
  • Knowledge of Third Party Payers, ICD-10, and CPT Coding a plus.
  • Proficient in computer and keyboarding skills, with experience in Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) an advantage.
  • Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with multiple teams and in multiple settings.
