Job Summary:

The School Monitor will assist teachers in supervising students during recreation and lunch periods, study halls, and other activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining order in the school, guiding students, and providing social and emotional support when needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist teachers in supervising students during recreation and lunch periods, study halls, and other activities
  • Maintain order in the school, including gymnasiums and cafeterias
  • Guide students throughout the school, including in locker rooms and on premises before and after school
  • Provide social and emotional support to students in situations that require it
  • Work collaboratively with administrators to maintain a safe and respectful environment
  • Perform simple clerical duties under close supervision
  • Provide accommodations to students during testing duties
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have good general intelligence, the ability to get along well with children, and the ability to command their respect. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, and experience working with children is desirable.
