Job Summary

We are seeking two friendly and energetic individuals to join our team as Library Materials Sorter/Shelvers. As a key member of our library staff, you will play a vital role in maintaining the organization and accessibility of our library materials.

Responsibilities
  • Sort, shelve, and process library materials in a timely and accurate manner
  • Assist with clerical, maintenance, and housekeeping tasks as assigned
  • Provide basic assistance to patrons on self-check and answer simple questions
  • Search the library for materials and read spreadsheets to ensure accurate shelving
  • Work independently with minimal supervision and interact courteously with patrons
Requirements
  • Must be 16 years of age or older
  • Ability to communicate effectively and interact with patrons, staff, and vendors
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions and perform detailed work
  • Ability to lift up to lbs. repetitively and use office equipment
Benefits
  • Part-time position with 20 hours per week
  • Competitive hourly rate of $10.45 per hour, with $12.45 on Sundays
  • Vacation, sick leave, personal days, and holidays
