Position Overview:
The Technical Training Specialist plays a crucial role in the development and execution of technical training initiatives aimed at production personnel in can manufacturing, filling operations, and Variety Pack processes. This position is essential for ensuring that staff are proficient in machinery operation, adhere to safety regulations, and meet quality benchmarks to enhance productivity and reduce operational interruptions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead both classroom instruction and practical training sessions for new and current employees, utilizing various training methodologies such as simulations, e-learning modules, workshops, and personalized coaching.
  • Implement and assess the initial two-week on-the-job training (OJT) program, manage training data within the Learning Management System (LMS), and support the ongoing development of employee skills throughout the onboarding journey.
  • Simplify intricate concepts to improve trainee comprehension, evaluate understanding, conduct individual feedback sessions, and modify training approaches as needed.
  • Evaluate trainees' skills and competencies through assessments and practical evaluations, providing constructive feedback to both trainees and supervisors regarding training effectiveness and improvement areas.
  • Track and document training progress meticulously, maintaining comprehensive records of training activities and employee performance, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with production, quality assurance, and safety teams to align training programs with operational objectives, revising training materials and addressing any training-related challenges.
  • Build and sustain relationships with cross-functional teams, engaging in continuous improvement efforts and fostering a culture centered on safety and quality.
  • Ensure all training initiatives adhere to industry standards, company policies, and safety regulations, remaining informed about best practices and regulatory updates to maintain compliance.
  • Maintain detailed training documentation, generate reports on training outcomes and employee progress, and analyze training data to identify trends and areas for enhancement.

Qualifications:
Skills:
Proven experience in delivering technical training within a manufacturing context, showcasing a solid understanding of production workflows, equipment handling, and safety protocols. Exceptional communication and presentation abilities, with a focus on effectively assessing and evaluating trainee performance.

Technical Proficiency:
Competence in utilizing e-learning platforms, training software, and Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Teams. Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) for training administration, data management, and reporting is essential.

Education:
A minimum of an Associate's degree or a High School diploma, combined with relevant experience in a manufacturing setting, ideally within the beverage can production and filling sector. Previous experience in a training or instructional capacity is highly advantageous.
