Job Title: Electrical Journeyman-Commercial

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Journeyman-Commercial to join our team at Zero Impact Builders. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial properties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and code specifications to determine the layout of electrical equipment installations.
  • Install, examine, replace, or repair electrical wiring, boxes, conduits, feeders, panels, commercial switchgear, transformers, disconnects, and other electrical components.
  • Test electrical equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance.
  • Maintain, repair, install, and test switchgear, transformers, switchboard meters, and other electrical systems.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, construction workers, plumbers, and other crew members.
  • Trench for electrical underground installations.
  • Test electrical systems using tools such as voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and ohmmeters to determine issues, safety, and compatibility.
  • Repair electrical issues by replacing or installing components, wiring, or devices.
  • Determine the steps necessary to assess an electrical situation using testing devices, blueprints, and maps.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to company guidelines and OSHA safety requirements.
  • Use ladders, scaffolding, platforms, and lifts to work on electrical systems in commercial properties.
  • Trench and install underground PVC and overhead EMT.
