We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Academic Faculty member to join our team at Connecticut State Community College. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the Nursing program, as well as contributing to the development of curriculum and assessment.
Key Responsibilities- Teach a range of courses in the Nursing program, including Medical-Surgical Nursing and other related courses.
- Develop and implement curriculum and assessment plans to ensure student success.
- Provide academic advising and support to students.
- Participate in departmental and college-wide committees and initiatives.
- Stay current with industry developments and best practices in Nursing education.
- Master's degree in Nursing.
- Eligibility for or current unencumbered CT RN licensure.
- Four (4) years' college teaching experience, or two (2) years' college teaching experience with four (4) or more years of clinical nursing experience.
- Proven ability to work with diverse student populations and faculty.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience using simulation to teach in a nursing skills lab.
- Experience teaching Medical-Surgical Nursing in an acute care setting.
- Experience as an instructor in a healthcare facility.
- Experience with curriculum development, program assessment, and evaluation.
- Familiarity with the community college experience as a student, faculty, or staff member.
- Experience using technology to enhance the learning environment.
