Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily operations of the clinical laboratory.
  • Ensure laboratory tests are conducted accurately and results are reported promptly.
  • Directly supervise, train, and mentor laboratory staff.
  • Monitor daily workflow and ensure adequate coverage for assays.
  • Ensure proper staffing for all shifts within the department.
  • Investigate and resolve production errors, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Engage in ongoing process and service level enhancements.
  • Ensure all equipment is maintained according to Quality Control standards.
  • Prepare and maintain Quality Assurance documentation.
  • Evaluate and recommend new process improvements.
  • Conduct regular meetings with team members to provide coaching and feedback.
  • Perform bench work as required and maintain proficiency in technical operations.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Administer and manage departmental policies and procedures.
  • Handle payroll and personnel documentation.
  • Perform administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or meet local regulatory requirements.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Technologist/Technician.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience is highly preferred.
  • ASCP or AMT certification is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of CLIA, CAP, and relevant state regulations.
  • Understanding of laboratory operations, policies, and procedures.
  • Proficient in Laboratory Information Systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational abilities.
  • Comfortable making decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to meet the physical demands of the position.
