About the Organization: A leading Credit Hedge Fund managing assets exceeding $10 billion is in search of an experienced Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) to enhance its team. This firm is well-regarded for its strategic credit management and is preparing to initiate a Public Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT). The organization’s private investment vehicles employ a versatile investment strategy, aiming to leverage diverse market conditions. They focus on investing in U.S. companies that are navigating various forms of disruption, providing customized capital solutions to meet their specific needs.

Role Overview: We are looking for a highly qualified Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) to oversee the Public REIT initiative. This pivotal role will involve spearheading the establishment of the Investment Advisor and the development of a robust compliance framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement the compliance framework for the Public REIT, ensuring compliance with SEC regulations and industry standards.
  • Work closely with the firm's Chief Financial Officer, utilizing their extensive expertise.
  • Support legal operations, with the potential to evolve into a combined General Counsel / Chief Compliance Officer role.

Qualifications:

  • 8-15 years of experience in compliance within the Investment Advisor sector.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree is mandatory.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Public REITs.
