Senior Medical Editor Job Description

As a Senior Medical Editor at Lifelancer, you will be part of a global talent-hiring platform connecting professionals with opportunities in life sciences, pharma, and IT.

The position is home-based anywhere in Europe or the UK, and you will be responsible for quality control review of clinical documents intended for submission to health authorities worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform quality control review of clinical documents, including clinical study protocols, amendments, and reports, to ensure compliance with submission standards.
  • Verify data in documents against source tables, figures, and listings, and format tables according to standards.
  • Copyedit and proofread clinical documents for grammar, style, and formatting, following AMA and company style guides.
  • Ensure internal consistency and confirm that data are reported correctly, and statements accurately reflect source documents or data.
  • Check reference lists in documents, including verifying citation information, ordering copies of references, and adding to the electronic document management system.
  • Proofread documents against standard templates to ensure compliance with required sections and text.
  • Perform publishing of nonclinical and clinical documents and compilation of required CSR appendices as needed.
