Job Description

Bolton & Menk, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Project Surveyor to join our team in Rochester, Minnesota. As a licensed surveyor, you will play a crucial role in fostering our mission to create safe, sustainable, and beautiful communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and coordinate survey planning, schedules, processing, and project administration to ensure timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Utilize coordinate geometry software to perform boundary calculations and ensure accurate survey records.
  • Responsible for existing survey records, research, plan interpretation, and correct staking of surveying and engineering projects.
  • Collect, process, interpret, and correct field measurements and data for survey projects.
  • Support business development activities through RFPs, presentations, and community engagement activities while developing relationships with clients.
  • Mentor and develop professional and technical survey staff to ensure knowledge sharing and growth.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college (or state-accepted educational equivalent for licensure).
  • Licensed Land Surveyor (LS) in the State of Minnesota.
  • 5+ years of progressive land survey experience.
  • Effective management and leadership skills, including operating with a sense of urgency, managing conflict, exercising tact and patience, and providing constructive feedback.
  • Working knowledge and skills in CAD and survey software, including AutoCAD Civil3D and MicroStation.
  • Working knowledge of specialized software processes for managerial, supervisory, and QA/QC purposes appropriate to the area of practice.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and may require travel, including extended overnight stays.
