We are seeking highly motivated and experienced Aquatic Safety Specialists to join our team at the City of Concord, CA. As an Aquatic Safety Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our patrons while providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor activities to prevent accidents and enforce facility rules
  • Develop, organize, and instruct swimming classes for all ages
  • Inspect and maintain equipment and materials to ensure they are in proper working order
  • Take reports from the public and fill out incident reports and other forms as required
  • Participate in weekly in-service training sessions
Requirements
  • Current lifeguarding certifications
  • Valid California Driver's License and a satisfactory driving record
  • Ability to swim with proficiency and endurance
  • Ability to maintain lifeguard certification
  • Ability to prevent accidents and effect rescues
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two seasons of lifeguarding, swim instructor, or swim coach experience
  • Valid/current lifeguarding certifications
