Job Summary

As a Schwab Wealth Consultant at Charles Schwab, you will be responsible for providing high-touch service and comprehensive guidance to clients in the context of a dedicated relationship. You will work across a wide spectrum of investment needs to help clients manage large and complex portfolios.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting clients' wealth management needs, including financial planning, estate planning, investment management, retirement planning, education planning, active trading, banking, insurance, and lending needs.
  • Managing a practice of primarily Ultra-HNW clients and providing world-class service to clients with complex wealth management needs.
  • Retaining existing clients, attracting new clients, and generating growth as measured by AUM, Wealth Management solutions, and client promoter scores.
  • Partnering with wealth specialists to offer solutions including banking, lending, and trust.
  • Developing a customized financial strategy for prospects and existing clients.
  • Demonstrating a thorough understanding of how to assess suitability and recommend appropriate retirement income advice and distribution process for clients living in retirement.
  • Demonstrating proficiency in deepening relationships with clients, from engagement and discovery to gaining commitment and ongoing service.
Requirements
  • Exhibits wealth management and investment products expertise, including equities, fixed income, mutual funds, and retirement plans.
  • Results-driven, highly motivated self-starter with integrity, a strong work ethic, and a passion for helping clients plan for their financial goals and objectives.
  • Demonstrates a bias for action and a commitment to achieving sustainable results.
  • Able to listen to clients' needs and make decisions/take actions that help clients achieve their long-term goals.
  • Knows how to follow proper risk, supervision, and controls guidelines to deliver the best outcomes for clients.
  • Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and approaches for finding appropriate solutions for clients.
  • Able to adjust style of communication to best connect with others.
  • Demonstrates and encourages collaboration and teamwork cross-functionally and within his/her team.
