Senior SHE Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior SHE Engineer to lead our safety, health, and environmental programs. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment and compliance with regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the SHE Team to achieve safety, health, and environmental goals
- Ensure certification to ISO14001 Environmental Management System and ISO45001 Health & Safety Management System
- Comply with all safety, health, and environmental regulations
- Develop and implement sustainability improvement projects to reduce waste, energy usage, and CO2 emissions
- Write and approve policies, procedures, and work instructions related to SHE programs
- Lead management committee meetings to track safety and sustainability project progress
- Improve safety awareness communication processes and develop metrics
- Coordinate globally with other Atlas Copco entities to ensure EH&S programs comply with all requirements
- Investigate accidents, injuries, or near misses to determine root causes and implement preventive and corrective actions
- Stay up-to-date with current policies, regulations, and industrial processes associated with operations
- Work with regulatory authorities and recommend/implement safety features to reduce employee exposure to hazards
- Ensure quarterly sustainability reports are accurate and completed on time
- Present sustainability results and actions to the Senior Management Team and Atlas Copco IAS Board
- Ensure environmental and employee safety programs and training are up-to-date, maintained, and compliant with Federal/State laws
- Oversee wastewater treatment compliance testing, reporting, and other permit requirements
- Function as the site security officer managing chemical vulnerability information
- Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations in the U.S.
- Knowledge of ISO14001/45001 requirements
- Knowledge of tracking and reporting sustainability measures
- Training/Certifications in wastewater, DOT Hazardous Materials, RCRA, ISO14001, and ISO45001
- Project management and time skills
- Communication skills to guide Senior Management Team toward achieving goals
- Ability to work with all organization levels and departments
- PC skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Suite programs
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant EHS experience in a manufacturing environment
- Professional certifications preferred (CSP, CHMM, ASP)
