Diagnostic Sonography Specialist

At Johns Hopkins Medicine, we are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Sonography Specialist to join our team. As a Diagnostic Sonography Specialist, you will be responsible for operating standard and specialized x-ray equipment to perform radiographic examinations used for diagnosis and treatment. Our patient population ranges from newborn to geriatric, and you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of patients and healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate standard and specialized x-ray equipment to perform radiographic examinations
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of ultrasound technology and its applications
  • Provide exceptional patient care and communication
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Successful completion of an approved curriculum in diagnostic sonography
  • Registration by The American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
  • CPR certification required within three months of employment
  • Six (6) months of related experience
