Position Overview:
This role, under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, is essential in delivering support for daily living activities to residents with intellectual disabilities. The Nursing Support Specialist will ensure the well-being and safety of our residents through attentive care and monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist residents with daily activities such as feeding, toileting, and mobility.
  • Monitor and document vital signs, ensuring accurate records are maintained.
  • Conduct regular rounds to guarantee the safety and comfort of residents.
  • Engage in planning and implementing care strategies tailored to individual needs.
  • Provide mentorship and orientation to new staff members, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary care teams, sharing insights about residents’ health and behavior.
  • Maintain aseptic techniques while assisting with personal hygiene tasks.
  • Report any significant changes in residents’ physical or behavioral conditions to professional staff.
  • Facilitate residents’ participation in social and recreational activities.
  • Implement appropriate interventions to manage challenging behaviors.

Qualifications:
Applicants must possess a valid certification as a Nursing Assistant in Delaware or be eligible for certification. We value candidates who demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality care and support to our residents.
