About the Role

Shinda Management Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Property Manager to oversee the physical, administrative, and financial aspects of our affordable housing properties in the New York metropolitan area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the property is audit-ready, maintaining accurate resident records, including rents, deposits, and application fees.
  • Manage maintenance and office teams to ensure timely completion of work orders and turn-overs.
  • Conduct annual and internal audits to ensure compliance with Tax Credit and Section 8 standards.
  • Establish community partnerships with agencies, private and governmental, to offer programs and services needed by residents.
  • Prepare and participate in the preparation of reports required for regulatory agencies and other arms of government.
  • Meet with residents to resolve complaints and grievances.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of property management experience.
  • Knowledge of Section 8, LIHTC, and/or other affordable housing programs.
  • Understanding of NYC local laws.
  • Experience with SitCompli and Yardi.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
  • Bilingual Spanish is a plus.
