Job Summary

We are seeking a Part-Time Instructor in the Medical Assisting Department to provide instruction in all levels, including developmental and/or transfer levels. The successful candidate will work individually and collaboratively with colleagues to develop innovative curriculum that meets the needs of our diverse student population.

Responsibilities
  • Provide instruction and hands-on training related to the course content
  • Prepare for classroom lecture and hands-on activities as needed
  • Follow department procedures for grading and student evaluation
  • Evaluate student performance and document skill proficiencies
  • Monitor students in the classroom and ensure safety precautions are followed
  • Ensure related clinical supplies and equipment are up-to-date and available
Requirements
  • Registered/Certified Medical Assistant or holds a degree in a field that is applicable to the courses taught
  • Two (2) years (4,000 hours) work experience relating to the field in the last 5 years
  • Applicant may use Teaching Experience for occupational experience if they have a related degree, correct number of occupational hours but the hours are older than 5 or 7 years AND they have been teaching in the content area
Benefits

Part-Time Instructors are eligible for sick leave, with 1 hour of sick leave for every 30 hours worked. FRCC employees contribute to Colorado PERA, which provides retirement and other benefits to employees of more than 500 government agencies and public entities in the state of Colorado.
