As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and delivering exceptional imaging services.

Responsibilities:

* Provide quality patient care and ensure successful completion of procedures and guidelines.
* Assist physicians in producing diagnostic imaging and related procedures.
* Ensure patient education and safety while in their care.
* Comply with all state and federal regulations applicable to each modality.
* Adhere to Bayfront Health's mission statement and strategic imperatives.
* Assess patient physical condition and age-specific needs.
* Provide instructions to achieve patient cooperation and desired results.
* Perform proper patient identification, acquire patient's clinical history, and ensure accurate documentation and communication to the appropriate team members.
* Position patient, equipment, and associated devices. Manipulate technical factors to achieve high-quality images for interpretation.
* Assess diagnostic images for technical quality, proper annotation, and patient identification, ensuring that all relative anatomy is demonstrated.
* Apply principles of radiation safety to minimize exposure to patients, self, and others.
* Comprehend and comply with Quality Control standards and participate in all Quality Control tasks.
* Demonstrate proficiency in contrast medication administration with and without use of power injectors.
* Apply sterile techniques and appropriate standard precautions in utilizing Personal Protective equipment (PPE) to prevent cross-contamination in accordance with Bayfront Health policy and training procedures.
* Administer medical aid as required in cases of adverse reactions to contrast medication and/or other emergencies.
* Assist in the supervision of student technologists and the training of new technologists.
* Utilize all Corporate Radiology computer systems effectively and accurately.
* Demonstrate proficiency in supply usage, charging, and documentation.
* Ensure the safety of all customers.
* Demonstrate knowledge regarding location, use, and troubleshooting of complex technical equipment and instruments. Acts as a resource for its operation and training.
* Maintain customer service skills in communication with all Bayfront Health staff, visitors, and co-workers.
* Maintain adequate inventory levels of supplies, equipment, resources, tools, and forms.
* Perform as a mentor/preceptor for new staff while maintaining high standards of patient care, documentation, and professionalism.
* Understand the application and technical aspects of all equipment and supplies used in all procedures.
* Ensure that case turnover time is within established department standards by maintaining proper workflow and prioritizing optimal patient care.

Requirements:

* Graduate of accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
* Valid Certified Radiologic Technologist licensure by the State of Florida.
* Valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification.
* Required to maintain BLS/Healthcare provider certification.
