Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sanitation Specialist to join our team at Old Dutch Foods Group. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in maintaining a clean and safe food environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform various cleaning duties to maintain a clean and safe food environment, adhering to established frequency and protocols.
  • Follow Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOPs) to ensure food processing equipment, physical plant, building structure, and grounds are cleaned to food safe guidelines and regulations.
  • Operate equipment and controls, and perform general housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and orderly environment.
  • Identify and report food safety and quality issues to supervisors, and consistently follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Food Safety/Quality Programs.
  • Perform packaging duties when overnight production is required.
Requirements:
  • Ability to lift 35 pounds from floor to shoulder and from shoulder to floor.
  • Ability to stand, bend, twist, reach, kneel, and squat for extended periods.
  • Ability to frequently clean tasks at heights using ladders, catwalks, scissor lifts, elevated platforms, etc.
  • Ability to push or pull a force weight of 50+ pounds.
  • Ability to operate lift trucks (forklifts, scissor lifts, hand trucks).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent changes in priorities.
Working Conditions:
  • Exposure to odor, noise, dust, heat, cold, and chemicals.
  • Must wear provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including hearing protectors, rubber boots, aprons, gloves, goggles, and face shields.
  • Must properly handle, transport, and use chemicals in the correct concentrations.
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior experience in cleaning duties in an industrial setting preferred.
