Job Description:

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Client Service Representative to join our team at BankFinancial. As a Client Service Representative, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with our customers, identifying opportunities to provide quality referrals to internal departments, and meeting the Bank's business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service, meeting and exceeding established standards.
  • Maintain updated knowledge of Bank products and services, including loan, IRA, and safe deposit box products.
  • Meet or exceed sales goals by identifying customer needs, offering appropriate products and services, and referring qualified clients.
  • Efficiently and professionally respond to customer inquiries, research transactions, and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Participate in and complete assigned quality customer calls for Branch Calling Campaigns.
  • Participate in Bank events, trade shows, and community events, representing the Bank and promoting BankFinancial.
  • Perform opening, maintenance, and closing of accounts, including IRA products and safe deposit boxes.
  • Obtain and verify new customer information to establish new account relationships, complying with the USA PATRIOT Act.
  • Perform teller responsibilities, accepting deposits and processing account transactions, maintaining and balancing a cash fund.
  • Adhere to the Cash Difference/Occurrence Policy and all reporting requirements.
  • Set priorities and manage time to complete tasks, reports, and customer follow-up on time, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Complete loan closings for home equity loans and may perform duties and responsibilities of an NMLS registered employee.
  • May be required to open and close the branch, adhering to all security policies.
  • May be required to approve transactions within assigned authority level, ensuring Bank policies and procedures are followed.
  • Manage the daily activities of the safe deposit vault area, including entry, delinquency/late payments, agreements, opening/closing boxes, and key accounting and issuance.
  • Interact with various Bank departments to resolve tasks.
  • Participate in and attend all scheduled branch sales/operational and team building meetings.
  • Comply with the Privacy and Customer Data Protection Policy, maintaining customer confidence and protecting Bank operations.
  • Adhere to all Bank policies and procedures and all local, state, and federal statutory regulations.
  • Complete all Bank required training and maintain a continuous program for self-improvement.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • At least one year of previous banker and/or Bank teller experience
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of bank products and services
  • Previous sales experience
