Job Summary

The NPI Quality Engineer role at CPC - Colder Products Company has direct responsibilities to support growth in the Thermal market. This position is tasked with supporting new product development and providing component and product inspection verification to the Quality department in Receiving Inspection.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute quality deliverables for new product development and retooling processes.
  • Lead the component qualification deliverables associated with new or refurbished molding tools.
  • Provide process verification of inspection procedures, resolve measurement discrepancies, and improve correlation in measurement method between suppliers and Receiving Inspection.
  • Provide input to design and manufacturing documentation including material specifications, drawings, inspection procedures, and manufacturing procedures to ensure the resulting products can be adequately manufactured and tested.
  • Support and facilitate risk assessment with cross-functional team members.
  • Incorporate customer issues/requirements into processes and systems.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to specify quality characteristics and inspection plans for components.
  • Collaborate with Tooling, Design, Manufacturing, Product Management, and Supply Chain in planning and executing new or refurbished tools.
  • Apply appropriate statistical methods to evaluate validation and process data.
  • Participate in continuous improvement collaboration, execution, and training.
Qualification Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in an engineering or technical discipline required.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in the Quality industry.
  • Exposure to ISO standards.
  • Experience working with data and statistical analysis software.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Experience with problem solving tools.
Travel and Physical Demands

Up to 15% travel, domestically and internationally. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands and fingers and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk and/or stoop.
