About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Probation and Parole Officer I to join our team at the Commonwealth of Kentucky. As a key member of our correctional services team, you will play a vital role in supporting the rehabilitation and reintegration of offenders into their communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular field visits to monitor offender compliance with court-ordered conditions
  • Develop and implement individualized case plans to promote offender rehabilitation and reintegration
  • Collaborate with community partners to provide support services and resources to offenders
  • Prepare and present court reports and recommendations
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on best practices and industry developments
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. criminal justice, social work, psychology)
  • 1-2 years of experience in a related field (e.g. corrections, social services, counseling)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
