The Georgia Public Defender Office is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to fill the position of Assistant Public Defender I in Carroll County.

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to provide competent and zealous representation to indigent clients in the Superior Court of Carroll County.

• Represent indigent individuals with criminal cases in the Superior Court of Carroll County
• Perform beginning-level professional legal work and assist in cases of routine complexity
• Provide competent and zealous representation and advocacy to indigent clients

To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following qualifications:

• Hold a Juris Doctorate from an accredited college or university
• Be licensed to practice law in the State of Georgia or be eligible to sit for the next Georgia Bar examination

Preference will be given to candidates with two or more years of criminal defense experience.

The selected candidate will be expected to demonstrate a strong commitment to indigent defense and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
