Job Description

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Receptionist to join our team at StoryPoint. As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our residents, guests, and visitors, providing exceptional service and support to ensure a positive experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Provide efficient and courteous service to all residents, guests, and visitors, responding to their inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Front Desk Operations: Manage the front desk, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and handling mail and packages.
  • Resident Support: Assist residents with daily tasks, such as check-in, check-out, and providing information about community services and amenities.
  • Communication: Maintain effective communication with residents, staff, and external partners, ensuring seamless coordination and collaboration.
  • Administrative Tasks: Perform administrative duties, such as data entry, filing, and maintaining records, as required.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Leasing Team, Maintenance Director, and other departments to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance the resident experience and community operations.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; one to three years of related experience and/or training preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum two-year office experience required; experience working with the elderly highly desirable.
  • Skills: Excellent customer service skills, Microsoft Office skills, and ability to type 40+ wpm required.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods, walk, and use hands to handle keyboard, phone, and other equipment.

Working Conditions:

This position entails standing for long periods of time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to communicate effectively with others, sit, stand, walk, and use hands to handle keyboard, telephone, paper, files, and other equipment and objects. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to review detailed documents and read computer screens. The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee may be required to push residents in wheelchairs occasionally. The employee may occasionally bend, reach, grasp, squat, and kneel. The work environment requires appropriate interaction with others. The noise level in the work environment is moderate. Occasional travel to different locations may be required.
