Job Summary

This position is responsible for maintaining the overall HVAC-R equipment throughout the company's facilities. The successful candidate will troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on a wide variety of air conditioning systems, ice makers, refrigerators, and freezers, utilizing specialized test equipment and hand/power tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair air conditioning and refrigeration equipment, electrical and pneumatic controls as related to HVAC systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and documentation of maintenance measures and logs.
  • Makes repairs to air handling equipment, i.e., replaces bearings, belts, pulleys, and air filters. Services and maintains rooftop units, split DX systems, and Liebert air conditioning units.
  • Uses refrigerant recovery equipment when servicing refrigerant-based systems.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 years of job-related experience.
  • Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) certification or within 6 months of hire.
  • Class A air condition and refrigeration license in the state of practice and completion of accredited courses in air condition and refrigeration (preferred).
