We are seeking a highly skilled Psychiatric Advanced Practice Nurse to join our team at the Recovery from Addictions Program (RAP) in Taunton, Massachusetts. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care, conduct biopsychosocial assessments, and order psychopharmacological interventions to assist in the care and treatment of clients involved at RAP.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Order and manage psychopharmacological interventions, including medications and other treatments
- Provide education and support to clients and their families on mental health and substance use disorders
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and coordination
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures
- Current and valid registration as a professional nurse under the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing
- Current and valid authorization to practice as a Nurse Practitioner by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing
- Minimum of three years of experience as a registered nurse in a recognized hospital, clinic, or medical facility
- Graduate degree with a major in Nursing may be substituted for a maximum of one year of the required experience
- Experience working with individuals with substance use disorders and mental health conditions
- Knowledge of evidence-based treatments and interventions for substance use disorders and mental health conditions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse populations
The Recovery from Addictions Program (RAP) is a statewide program operated by the Department of Mental Health (DMH) in collaboration with the Department of Public Health (DPH) Bureau of Substance Addiction Services. The program provides acute detoxification and early clinical stabilization services, as well as community-based linkages to outpatient supports and substance use disorder treatment providers.
RAP provides administrative, medical, clinical, and non-clinical services, with a mission to provide quality client-centered care and recovery-oriented treatment. The program is committed to ensuring that individuals receive comprehensive and coordinated care, and that they have access to the resources and support they need to achieve recovery.
