Job Overview

GR Birdwell Construction is seeking a skilled laborer to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with logistics, equipment, and material handling, as well as participating in the execution and completion of work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supply Chain Logistics:
    • Track and escort deliveries
    • Inspect quality of materials and sign tickets
    • Maintain barcode tags for inventory control
    • Maintain dumpsters and hydration and sanitation stations
    • Properly designate the location and storage of flammable liquids
    • Ensure materials and equipment are placed in designated lay-down areas
  • Equipment/Materials:
    • Load and unload trucks
    • Track, inspect, and perform sign-in & sign-out procedures
    • Assist in inspection of fall protection equipment
    • Perform maintenance and repair on equipment
    • Signal and flag crane and truck operators
    • Rig loads for hoisting
  • Installation of Work:
    • Clean columns, walls, floors, tools, and equipment during and after pours
    • Responsible for general housekeeping of the worksite
    • Serve as a confined space attendant
    • Serve as designated "fire watch" for welding and other hot work applications
Requirements
  • Must be willing to work in all kinds of weather and working conditions
  • Must be willing to assume the physical risks of working in an outdoor environment
  • Must have ability to exert physical effort, handling average weight objects up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to pass a hair follicle drug screen and background check
