Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to join our team at CHRISTUS Health. As a key member of our Perinatal Department, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to a positive patient experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide routine and complex care to patients in the Labor and Delivery Department
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care, utilizing evidence-based practice and critical thinking skills
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination
  • Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers
  • Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given
  • Participate in quality improvement activities and contribute to a culture of safety and excellence
Requirements
  • 1 year of RN experience in the related nursing specialty preferred
  • Perinatal RN Residency or recently practicing in a Perinatal Setting is preferred
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred
  • BLS required
  • RN License in state of employment or compact
  • Current certification from NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) or one of the following AWHONN courses
