Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team at CHRISTUS Health. As a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide routine and complex care to patients in the Labor and Delivery Department, utilizing the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient care.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care, incorporating evidence-based practice and patient-centered care principles.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
  • Document patient information accurately and thoroughly, using electronic documentation systems.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of safety and excellence.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred.
  • Current certification from NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) or one of the following AWHONN courses: For new graduates and experienced nurses new to the specialty, certification must be obtained within 4 months of hire and maintained thereafter.
  • 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty, preferred.
