Job Summary

EDI Staffing is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our company's network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement network architecture to ensure high availability and performance
  • Configure and maintain network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs
  • Monitor and troubleshoot network issues to ensure minimal downtime
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess network capacity needs and implement upgrades
  • Develop and maintain network documentation, including configuration files and network maps
  • Implement and enforce network security policies and procedures
  • Conduct research on new network technologies and products to stay up-to-date with industry developments
  • Provide technical guidance and support to internal teams and external partners

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on LAN, WAN, and wireless networks
  • Cisco certifications and experience with Cisco products, including routers, switches, and firewalls
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols, including TCP/IP, VLANs, and routing protocols
  • Experience with network management software and tools
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with network security principles and best practices
  • Knowledge of Definity PBX and VOIP systems
  • Competence with testing tools and procedures for voice and data circuits
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
