Job Title: Principal Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Systems Engineer to lead the development of advanced storage systems for the OEM and data center marketplace.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in systems design and development, with expertise in computer architecture, storage protocols, and server management.

The ideal candidate will be a technical leader who can coordinate and guide the activities of other team members, and will have a strong understanding of the latest networking standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical leadership for the development of storage systems, including mechanical chassis, hard drives, fans, power supplies, firmware, and printed circuit board assemblies.
  • Develop system specifications, including mechanical, electrical, functional, and environmental specifications, and requirements for all major subsystems and interfaces.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including FW, EE, ME, product management, program management, verification engineering, and manufacturing engineering, to ensure that the designed system meets all product and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead system integration activities during the prototype phase, and oversee root cause resolution of specification and design defects.
  • Provide mentorship to other SE engineers as needed.
Qualifications:
  • BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering (or related field).
  • 8+ years of experience with storage and server product systems design and development.
  • Strong background in computer architecture, storage protocols, and server management.
  • Expertise in board level and system level troubleshooting.
  • Strong team player, effective communication skills, and highly motivated.
