About the Position

This is a military technician position with the U.S. Army Reserve Command, 99th Readiness Division Regional Support Command (RSC), Area Maintenance Support Activity (AMSA) 8 located in New York.

Responsibilities
  1. Prepare daily reports to monitor shop equipment database and track repair requests.
  2. Spearhead formal and informal training to enhance organizational skills and knowledge.
  3. Maintain accountability of administrative actions and ensure compliance with regulations.
  4. Review inventory of supply operations for discrepancies and implement corrective measures.
  5. Organize shop tools to distribute appropriately to employees and optimize productivity.

Experience Requirements

Applicants must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps).

The resume must clearly describe relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, transcripts will be required as part of the application.

Specialized Experience

One year of specialized experience which includes 1) utilizing automated systems to schedule and track repairs or work requests;

2) maintaining supply logs or production control records;

and 3) conducting inventory of supplies, tools, or parts.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Salary

The estimated salary for this position is around $60,000 per year, depending on location and other factors.
