Paralegal/Legal Assistant Job Description

Jobot is seeking a highly skilled Paralegal/Legal Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our legal team, you will provide comprehensive support to our attorneys, including drafting legal documents, conducting research, and preparing case materials.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide paralegal support to our legal team, including drafting legal documents and conducting research.
  • Work closely with attorneys to prepare and file court documents, and have knowledge of electronic court filings and litigation procedures.
  • Manage estate planning matters, including the preparation of wills, trusts, and other related documents.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing timely updates and ensuring their needs are met.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, such as scheduling meetings and maintaining legal files.
  • Utilize your accounting experience to manage financial records and process invoices.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and effective legal services.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Law, Paralegal Studies, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal.
  • Demonstrable experience in estate planning is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional writing skills, with the ability to draft clear and concise legal documents.
  • Administrative or accounting experience is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly.
  • Proficiency in using legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • A team player, with a commitment to providing high-quality legal services.
