As a Sales Executive at Marshall & Sterling Inc, you will be responsible for achieving minimum sales and other objectives as agreed upon. This includes new business growth to maintain and grow overall accounts, developing and maintaining a pipeline of prospects, and delivering formal proposals of insurance utilizing Marshall & Sterling's online system.
You will also be responsible for following renewal work flows to ensure retention of accounts, referring clients and prospects to other divisions of Marshall & Sterling, and delegating client service needs appropriately.
Additionally, you will establish and follow through on appropriate service timelines on appropriate accounts, attend all sales meetings as required, and collect premiums per established agency procedures.
You will also be responsible for following agency E&O and workflow procedures to document activities and prevent errors and omissions losses, and effectively use the marketing, loss control and claims handling resources of the Agency to maximize the service provided to the client.
Furthermore, you will promote agency and insurance industry in the community, obtain required continuing education credits, and maintain professional accreditation necessary to meet agency standards.
You will also participate in continuing education programs when available, build and maintain a favorable and professional work relationship with other staff members, and adhere to established employee manual policies and guidelines.
Finally, you will promptly report all E&O claims and potential E&O claims, and maintain confidentiality in all aspects of client, staff and agency information.

You should have proven ability to pursue and close sales, knowledge of insurance products, and appropriate state insurance licenses and continuing education required.
You should also be able to work effectively and relate well with others, including superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the company in a professional manner.
Experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs is also required, and experience with Vertafore is a plus.
A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record is also required, and you should have the ability to communicate with and work with diverse types of individuals and groups.
Finally, you should have a high level of organizational ability with attention to detail.
