Mental Health Specialist for Eating Disorders

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient-Centered Mental Health Specialist to join our team at Monte Nido & Affiliates, LLC. This is a part-time position with a flexible schedule.
About the Role:The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment. As a Patient-Centered Mental Health Specialist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to individuals suffering from eating disorders.
You will conduct initial psychiatric evaluations, meet weekly with patients for ongoing follow-up sessions, maintain accurate progress notes, manage psychotropic medications, and collaborate with the treatment team as needed. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to maintain confidentiality are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial psychiatric evaluations to develop individualized treatment plans.
- Meet weekly with patients for ongoing follow-up sessions to monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date progress notes to ensure continuity of care.
- Manage psychotropic medications and collaborate with the treatment team to develop effective medication management strategies.
- Communicate with referring providers and family members as necessary to ensure seamless coordination of care.
- Participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning and contribute to the development of patient-centered goals and objectives.
Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Advanced Practice Nursing (APRN) or related field from an accredited program.
- Board Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
- Current APRN or PCNS license in good standing.
- CPR/BLS certification.
