Survey Crew Chief

As a Survey Crew Chief with Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc., you will oversee the efficient operation of the field crew, utilizing standard operating procedures and current health and safety standards. The daily duties include the operation of robotic total stations and GPS receivers to accurately collect relevant data and information. You will work closely with a Licensed Surveyor to assist with a variety of projects, including crew scheduling, daily assignments, developing deed work maps, and conducting courthouse research to collect right of way property information.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of surveyors in the field, ensuring the efficient collection of data and information.
- Operate robotic total stations and GPS receivers to accurately collect data and information.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the field crew.
- Collaborate with a Licensed Surveyor to assist with a variety of projects, including crew scheduling, daily assignments, and developing deed work maps.
- Conduct courthouse research to collect right of way property information.
Requirements
- 5+ years' experience in surveying, including experience with GPS devices, data collectors, and total stations.
- Knowledge of land surveying principles, techniques, and practices.
- Knowledge of computer-aided drafting principles and practices.
- Knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices, including construction specifications, plans, and regulations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license.
