Job Summary:

The Connecticut State Community College is seeking an experienced Associate Director of Finance and Administrative Services to join their team. This role will be responsible for managing a wide range of accounting, finance, and administrative services at the college.

Key Responsibilities:
  • General accounting management, including financial reporting and analysis.
  • Capital planning, including budgeting and forecasting.
  • Grant accounting, including compliance and reporting.
  • Travel and professional development, including planning and coordination.
  • Accounts Receivable and Billing, including processing and follow-up.
  • Procurement and Accounts Payable, including purchasing and payment processing.
  • Fixed Assets management, including tracking and reporting.
Requirements:
  • Masters degree in business, accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a fiscal or business office, with up to two years of supervisory experience.
  • Experience in computer operations, including Banner financial accounting systems.
  • Extensive knowledge of grant accounting and compliance.
  • Business office operation, including procurement and Accounts Payable.
  • Cashier's/Bursar's Office and accounts receivable functions.
  • State travel and professional development guidelines.
  • Supervision of human resources.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with state agencies and other external organizations in contract and grant compliance.
  • One or more years of experience in Higher Education.
  • Experience with budgets and planning.
