We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Operations Manager to join our team at Emory University. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting Campus Services facility operations and logistics, including all trades across the facility management organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facility Operations Management: Oversee the management of facility operations, including elevator maintenance, emergency generator, auto transfers switch service, chiller operations, boiler operations, building management systems, grounds and roadway, building residential services, and building trade operations.
  • Vendor Contract Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor contract engagement, ensuring that contracts are effectively completed prior to work commencement.
  • Financial Management: Review department budgets and financials, and work with Department Directors to highlight operational trends and financial engagement.
  • Logistics and Reporting: Support the logistics of the engagement of both temporary and permanent employee resources, and create various reports to analyze operational trends and identify opportunities for improved efficiency.
  • Standard Operating Procedures: Support the creation of standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency in facility operations.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, or related field.
  • Experience: Three years of experience in facilities management and/or operational logistics management or related field.
  • Skills: Thorough knowledge of various computer software applications, input and extraction of data, use of spreadsheet and report writing programs, and ability to produce key performance indicators (KPIs) and status reports.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience: Experience with book and record keeping.
  • Finance Background: Strong finance background with general knowledge of contracts and RFPs.
