Pharmacy Manager Job Description

At Optum, we're committed to helping people live healthier lives and making the health system work better for everyone. As a Pharmacy Manager, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality pharmacy services to our patients and partners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of pharmacists and support staff to provide exceptional patient care and service.
  • Develop and implement pharmacy policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive care and support to patients with complex health conditions.
  • Manage pharmacy operations, including inventory management, supply chain logistics, and budgeting.
  • Coach and develop pharmacy staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide excellent patient care.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest pharmacy practices, laws, and regulations to ensure our services meet the highest standards.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or PharmD.
  • Current pharmacist's license in the state of Texas.
  • Certified immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 3 months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of pharmacy leadership experience.
  • Leadership experience.
  • Pharmacy experience.
  • Bilingual - Spanish and English.
