We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Technology Data Platform Manager to join our team at Truist. This is a critical role that will be responsible for designing, building, and executing data and analytics strategies for our cloud infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud infrastructure using AWS.
- Develop and maintain one or more data platforms and tools for safe and deliberate consumption throughout the organization.
- Manage multiple platform teams comprising of globally distributed full-time platform engineers, platform leads, and contract resources.
- Work closely with senior leaders within Enterprise Technology to drive business objectives and priorities.
- Manage multiple functions including automation, configuration management, monitoring and logging, collaboration, security, cost optimization, disaster recovery, and troubleshooting.
- Serve as the IT leader in an Agile environment.
- Bachelor's degree and six years of experience managing complex IT projects or equivalent education and related training or experience.
- Demonstrated experience in project management/delivery teams.
- Ability to interpret internal and external business challenges and implement best practices to improve products, processes, or services.
- Knowledge of technology structures that incorporate variable staffing, evolving platforms, cost, and value arbitrage value propositions.
- Broad view of how industry and technology changes impact technology and client experience through digital channels.
- Strong business acumen and domain expertise in the assigned portfolio.
- Ability to exercise judgment in solving technical, operational, and organizational challenges in the context of business objectives and priorities.
- Ability to manage a team, including identifying and recruiting talent, managing performance, and making decisions about resource allocation.
- Strong understanding of data lifecycle management.
- Master's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or equivalent degree.
- Experience within an enterprise data organization, preferably within a financial institution.
- AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Knowledge of additional cloud platforms, such as Azure.
- Extensive experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.).
- Proficiency with scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, Splunk, etc.
- Solid understanding of networking, security, database, and data warehouse in a cloud environment.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
