Job Description

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Cloud Infrastructure Group, you will be responsible for designing, building, and operating a suite of massive scale, integrated cloud services in a broadly distributed, multi-tenant cloud environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and software engineering. You will work closely with our team to design and implement scalable, highly available, and secure cloud services that meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable, highly available, and secure cloud services
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement cloud infrastructure solutions
  • Develop and maintain high-quality software code
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and software engineering
  • Strong background in Java, C++, C#, or similar OO languages
  • Experience with at least one scripting language for automating tasks, proof of concept work, or command line tools
  • Domain knowledge of Identity and Access Management
  • Hands-on experience developing services on a public cloud platform (e.g., AWS, Azure, Oracle)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Docker
  • Experience working with internal customers and translating requests into prioritized work or features
  • Expertise in applying threat modeling or other risk identification techniques to develop security solutions
  • FedRAMP, PCI DSS, or similar compliance and auditing experience
  • Experience working with large enterprise customers
