**Job Summary**

The Clinical Medication Specialist at Southern Ohio Medical Center works under the supervision of the Pharmacy Manager to ensure accurate and efficient medication distribution. This role involves collaborating with physicians and other hospital staff to optimize drug therapy, educating patients and their families on proper medication use, and maintaining accurate patient profiling and charging records.

Responsibilities:

  • Compounds and dispenses medications according to accepted standards of practice
  • Checks the accuracy and appropriateness of all medications dispensed
  • Intervenes clinically with the physician when necessary to optimize drug therapy
  • Maintains accurate patient profiling and charging records for all inpatient and non-inpatient medication orders

This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 per year.
