As a Claims Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting our claims staff and performing various office tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our claims management system.
Key Responsibilities- Claims Setup and Entry: Set up and enter new claims into our claims management system, ensuring accurate and timely data entry.
- Claims Notes and Diaries: Input and review notes and diaries in our claims management system as instructed, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
- Payment Processing: Process payments in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Administrative Support: Provide administrative support, including filing, faxing, and photocopying, as well as preparing and sending letters, reports, and forms.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, answering and initiating telephone calls, setting up medical appointments, and responding to customer inquiries.
- Additional Tasks: Perform other duties as assigned, including the preparation and distribution of computer reports.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Six months of clerical or customer service experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, PC literacy, including Microsoft Office products, strong organizational skills, and ability to work in a team environment.
