The EPIC Medical Biller is a key member of our team at Syracuse Community Health, responsible for ensuring seamless billing processes within the EPIC system. Responsibilities:
• Process and manage medical claims within the EPIC system
• Review and analyze payment information for accuracy and completeness
• Address claim adjustments and denials in a timely and efficient manner
• Collaborate with patients, front desk staff, and insurance carriers to resolve billing issues
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of billing activities
Requirements:
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Additional education or certification in healthcare or medical billing preferred
• Three years of medical billing experience in a healthcare environment, preferably with EPIC
• One year of experience with CPT and ICD-10 coding preferred
Physical Demands:
The EPIC Medical Biller will occasionally be required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle objects, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, talk or hear, taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
